2008 Spike TV’s Video Game Awards: Nominees Announced
Our ‘Academy Awards‘ (ya, it’s sad) for video games is ‘Spike TV’s Video Game Awards,’ is set to broadcast on December 14th. The guys (really women) over at Spike TV have announced the nominations for this year’s ceremony. The biggest award is obviously ‘Game of the Year,’ which BioShock was honored last year to receive the award.. However, this year’s nominees are; Grand Theft Auto IV, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gears of War 2.
Spike is also adding the ‘Best Independent Game Award,’ where the public is allowed to vote for the winner. The nominees include; World of Goo, Braid, PixelJunk Eden and Audio Surf.
