A couple of days ago, we mentioned that Jimmy Fallon challenged Tiger Woods in a game of golf, but using Tiger’s own game “PGA Tour 10,” for the Wii. It was confirmed by EA that they would be playing and it would be happening tonight on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon on NBC at 12:35AM.
Because the show is always taped hours before it airs, Woods vs Tiger actually just happened outside the studio in New York City at Times Square. Up top is a picture of the event, which is courtesy of MTV.
According to Russ Frushtick, who writes for the site, attended the challenge and reported that Jimmy Fallon is by far a better golfer than Tiger Woods. Both men played 3-holes. In the last hole Tiger needed a hole-in-one to even have a chance to beat Jimmy. Before he tried, he mentioned to Fallon that he has had 19 career hole-in-ones, but when he tried to get his 20th — he failed.
If you want to check out the event, tune in and watch it tonight on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Of course, you’ll probably have to sit through the show in order to see it. If you don’t want to watch the show — we should have video of the golf-off tomorrow.

Jimmy Fallon has been keeping his promise that videogames would be a focus on his late night show. So far, the show invited X-Play co-host Morgan Webb and he even introduced Project Natal to many people who had yet to hear of it.
Last night, Fallon confirmed that golf-great that Tiger Woods would be a guest this Thursday night on the show. He even challenged Woods to a golf-off, but wants to play him in Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii, as opposed to playing actual golf. It sounded like the show’s producers have already planned on doing this, and it was a way to promote it.
Today, Kotaku spoke with Electronic Arts and the publisher did confirm that both Woods and Fallon would be playing a game of Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii. Both men will be playing the sports games and as of now, they will hit two rounds together.
Like his show or not, at least Fallon is giving videogames the mainstream attention they deserve, and for that I commended him.
Late Night With Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights on NBC at 12:35 AM.

It looks like Microsoft is trying to let the Web 2.0 trend continue and expand on their Xbox Live service. First we get word that they are allowing users to listen to LAST.fm straight to the Xbox console. Now, we hear that Xbox 360 owners who have Twitter and/or Facebook can access their accounts via Xbox Live.
If players choose to log onto their Facebook using the gaming online service, they will have access to all their friends on both Live and Facebook — all under the same page. You’ll also have the ability to post screenshots from the games you are playing straight to your Facebook profile. Th first game to take advantage of this feature will be Tiger Woods 10.
Twitter is going to be your average ‘Twitter account,’ but you’ll be able to accesses it through your NXE dashboard. I’m assuming there will be a way to update your 140 word status by simply pressing a button, and that will automatically say what game you are playing. Joy!
Both launch this fall.
