Up top is an image of what Link from the Legend of Zelda would look like if he were on The Simpsons. Odd? Sure, but definitely cool. Although, it obviously wasn’t created by any of the artists from the show, but a fan who apparently has his own site and showcases his work. And yes, it always revolves around the famous cartoon.
There are some questionable conspiracy theories about the dollar bill. Some people believe the symbols on the currency is actually from Freemasons, who are/were an occult. While people have been debating if the Freemasons are actually on the dollar, they might have missed something bigger.
There is a symbol on the paper that resembles an artifact that has the power to grant a wish to whomever touches it, and the world will then reflect to that person’s heart. Of course I’m talking about the Triforce, from the Legend of Zelda. Check out the photo above, once you do, you can’t deny that US Treasury knows a thing or two about the Triforce’s power.
We thought Google was the first to hide the Triforce in their images, but it looks like the United States Government has been doing a lot longer.
PopPoopFart (he made the name, not us) on youtube, made this video we posted above. It’s him strumming his guitar to the Legend of Zelda theme “Overworld,” but recorded himself playing each part. Although it’s not the first time we saw somebody do something similar, it is the first time I think I’ve seen a prop being used. While you watch, notice parts of the Triforce appear on the screen and as each video emerges, the full cardboard Triforce is shown in its full glory.
BioShock‘s designer Ken Levine admitted when he was younger, he was a little too obsessed with the Legend of Zelda and it even ended a relationship with an ex-girlfriend. When Levine graduated from college, he moved into an apartment in San Francisco. He then met a girl who was a few years younger, who overtime became his ‘better-half’. Her being younger meant when the summer ended, she would have to move back to school.
When the last day came, Levine started to play the Legend of Zelda and quickly became engrossed in the adventure game. So much, he forgot to pay attention to the girl.
“After I graduated from college, I moved to an apartment San Francisco with first super-serious girlfriend. She was a couple of years younger than me, so at the end of the summer, she was set to go back to school. On our last day together in San Fran, I for some reason picked up The Legend of Zelda. As she stood by waiting for some romantic gesture to happen on our last day living together, she was instead treated to watching me obsessively plow through Hyrule for around 15 hours. By the time the cab showed up to take her to the airport, I realized if I had any hope of keeping her as my girlfriend, it was time to shut off the NES. Needless to say, we didn’t spend the next summer together.”
You know, I completely understand why he chose the game over her. Zelda was and still is badass, plus she was a serious girl from San Francisco. I would pick the game over her any day. And guess what, her heart break is our gain. I’m pretty sure Zelda influenced Mr. Levine in someway.
Japanese research site Macquarie, is making some strong statements about what they believe Nintendo is about to unveil at E3. According to what the website “understands,” Nintendo is set to showoff the sequel to Wii Fit called, Wii Fit Plus. They expect the title to be sold separately to financially benefit from the already 17 million boards in households. Macquarie also believes that a bundle will be available at the same time.
Additionally to Wii Fit Plus, Macquarie thinks Nintendo has learned their lesson from horrible E3 showing last year. They are reporting that Nintendo plans on focusing more on the hardcore gamer, as opposed to the causal. If everything goes according to their plan, the makers of the Wii are expected to reveal a brand new Legend of Zelda for the Wii, along with a new Mario game.
I do agree that Nintendo will show of either Mario or Zelda at E3. However, I have a hard time being convinced that they will showboat both titles at one show, never mind release them in the same year. The reason why I say this, is because Nintendo traditionally ships only one of those two titles in a span of a year. Hands down, Mario & Zelda are the company’s biggest franchises, and it is a smarter business decision to releases those games between years, rather in the same one.
Of course we’ll officially know who is right next week.
Over in Waterbury, CT a man entered a bank and handed over a note demanding Rupees cash in return. Nothing to out of the ordinary for most news sites, but what he’s wearing caught our attention.
The criminal is wearing a TriForce cap which he probably bought at Hot Topic. All this does is prove my theory even more; people who shop at Hot Topic and/or are Nintendo fanboys, have no morals.
