Cool Stuff: N64 Mod That Looks LIke Princess Peach’s Castle

princesspeachn64

I love to see when a modder put his imagination to work. The picture up top might look like some kind of cake or some white gingerbread house, but it isn’t. Believe it or not, the picture is actually showing off a casemode of an old Nintendo 64. Is it a tad over the top? Sure, but it’s definitely awesome.

As you can tell, the mod is a replica of Princess Peach’s famous castle from Super Mario 64. The eBay listing, which sold for only $100, describes that the “castle has been molded to look like the bricks and roof tiles, then painted. The mural of Princess Peach is a very detailed mosaic and the five flags are made of cloth.” In order to play the Nintendo 64, the top part of the castle needs to come off but then can be put back on when the cartridge is attached to the system.

After the jump check out more pictures of the modded N64.

Video of Super Mario 64 That Will Creep You Out

We all think of Super Mario 64 as a wonderful kid friendly game from our childhood. With the happy sound effects, the cute enemies and Mario talking and laughing, it was just perfect for us as kids. And to this day, the game is fantastic.

Well if you watch the video up top, I promise you it will ruin that great memory you have in your head. LightingWolf3 decided to slow down the sound, and filter the color of the game, to black & white. What you get is quite possibly the creepiest video game ever made.

Again if watch, it will quickly decay your perception of Mario…
