Chris Rowson designed the shirt above, which depicts what would happen if those”Space Invaders” were indeed real and if the US government or any other for that matter do, if they caught one of those sinister aliens. If you want to purchase one, head over to Threadless.com and pick one up for only $18.

There are only a few videogame icons that transcends above geekiness to pop-culture. The hit 80’s arcade game, Space Invaders is definitely one of those icons.
The winners of the World Kitchen Tea Off 2009, designed the kettles up top and as you can tell from the one of the right, it includes a Space Invaders style. Although, I’m not sure how many gamers would actually use these tea kettles — with all the large consumption of Mountain Dew and all. I guess it might be cool for them just to have them displayed in their house because if you have a tea kettle in a kitchen, it means your classy. Right?

I’ve been thinking about what kind of car I would get if I were to get buy one sometime soon. I’m not going to lie, I’m not huge about any particular vehicle, I really just want something that goes from point ‘A’ to ‘B.’ Although, these pictures that I’m posting might have just changed my mind.
TheCoolHunter released images of these MINI Coopers, which have a Space Invaders and Pac-Man theme design and as of now, the cars are sadly not available. According to the site, this is all part of a project and to be honest, I don’t think these pictures are even real and they are probably just concept art. But it sounds there is a small possibility that someone is working on these designs as we speak, and maybe could happen one day. If so, sign me up!
We should also note, that these pictures are being mistakenly credited towards artist Matt Moore. However, Gamedaily has confirmed that Moore is denying such an involvement and as of now, we don’t know who actually made them.

Are video games and official music videos becoming the norm? At least I hope so! A few days ago, we posted a Japanese music video using LittleBigPlanet from the band “Beat Crusaders.” While the video is pretty cool, the one up top is considerably better.
The Electronic Norwegian duo, “Röyksopp” newest music video is now online. Their forth album titled “Junior” features the song, “Happy Up Here,” which inspired the music video above. The video combines real life shots with pixelated Space Invaders attacking the world and I appositely love it!
It is directed by Reuban Sutherland, who Offworld cleverly found out directed two of the Resistance 2 advertisements.

Do you know what’s boring? Regular ice cubes! Do you know what’s not boring? Space Invaders’ Ice Cubes. So if you are having some kind of party, these cubes are probably the best way NOT to have a girl hit on you. Of course, who needs girls when your drink is being chilled by aliens trying to destroy mankind?
If you are interested in buying them, click here. But be forewarned, it’s a flash catalog…

Do you play guitar and love retro gaming? Than you might want to beg editor over at thedomesticscientist to create one of these for you. Someone he knows wanted a “retro-fabulous” strap, so he decided to stitch the baby together. As you can tell, the strap not only has a cool color pattern, but he included the 80’s arcade hit space invaders.

Even though I’m talentless and don’t play guitar, I would love to strap it on my plastic instrument from Rock Band — that would look badass.

One of the best quality ‘geeky‘ t-shirts sites that you can buy online, glennz.com, has an awesome spin on Space Invaders and they call it Ground Defenses. Just like every other shirt they sell, it’s not a generic shirt you’ll find in Hot Topic. You can tell from the picture above, the design tells a story, and it seems the human is painting his kills on his ‘tank.’

The shirt sells for $19.95 and they have available both men and women. Keep in mind, when they sell out you’ll never be able to order anymore.
