We believed it was going to happen at one point and now it’s true. The greatest Star Wars character of all-time is making his way into the Xbox version of Soul Calibur IV — Darth Vader.
Starting this Thursday (October 23), if you spend 400 Microsoft Points ($5), Namco will give you Vader — quite possibly the worst fighter in the history of the Soul Calibur series. Even though I love Vader and in fact I have a mini Darth Vader collection, he can’t fight for sh*t in SC IV. And $5 is a bit expensive, even if he was a good fighter…
Sadly, I must grow my Lord Vader collection, so I must buy it.
On the same day, Yoda will be available through PSN for $5 and at the very least is a better ‘fighter’. Although because he’s so damn short, it’s a little cheap to fight as him.

User ArcadeJunkies on youtube had a little fun with the Soul Calibur IV character creator and making some of our favorite video game stars such as, Mario, Lui Kang, Chung Li, Snake, and many more. If we can make characters this easily in a Soul Calibur game, imagine what people will be able to do with the super detailed game LittleBigPlanet…

Darth Vader is the biggest badass anyone has ever been created. From the ‘James Earl Jones‘ deep voice to the deep breathing. I mean, just the way he walks without any care, for anyone else around him is daunting.
And now, we have TWO AMAZING games that’ll make him playable. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Soul Calibur IV for the PS3. We’ve just found great footage of Vader in action for SCIV, and he’s looking mighty fun to play as. With the Imperial March playing in the back round and him using the force on the little b*itches in Soul Caliber, it gets by blood flowing. Check out the video above and see what I mean.
Sorry Xbox owners, you get to play as the old dwarf, Yoda…
