Cool Stuff: Scott Campbell’s New i am 8-bit Art, and Flyers
Scott Campbell is one of the more famous artist from the i am 8-bit show. For those who are unfamiliar with the gathering, it has become an annual exhibition held in Los Angeles with an art gallery geared towards retro gaming. Tomorrow marks the forth year of the shows existence and Mr.Campbell gave us a preview of what he’s showing.
Check out the first pic up top. It’s labeled; ‘Great Showdowns (of the 8-bit era)’. Their very simple, yet very creative pictures of old video game stars, but looking right at their video game counter-parts, that made their battles so epic when we were growing up. My personal favorites are the ‘frogger staring at the log,’ the ‘double dragon kick,’ and my absolutely favorite one; ‘Tetris looking where the next piece should fit‘.
