Rock Revolution Sells Only 3,000 Units Combined — Wii Moves Only 2 Copies?

Can this be for real? According to Gamespot and NPD, Konami’s rhythm game Rock Revolution sold poorly. Again, if this is real — poorly would actually be good news for the gaming publisher.

The NPD Group reported — get this, Rock Revolution sold less 3,000 copies of the game for the month of October. Because of the numbers being so ridicules low, I have my doubts about the legitimacy.

The group said the Xbox 360 version sold 1,442, 816 for the PlayStation 3, 666 for the DS and only two freaking copies for the Wii.

I’m 100% sure if /gamer went into selling games, but instead of getting an actual game in the case, the customer would receive poop — we would still sell more than two copies on the Wii.

If the numbers end up being correct, Rock Revolution I guess would be considered a bomb…

Konami Sues Harmonix and MTV, Seeks Cold Hard Cash in Return and Stop the Sales of RockBand

Konami, the publisher of the arcade games DrumMania and Guitar Freaks has filed a law suite against Harmonix and MTV. The Suit claims that Harmonix broke Konami’s US patent for a “musical-rhythm matching game” filed in the United States in 1999. They go on to say that it supersedes Harmonix’s 2007 filing for a “game controller simulating a musical instrument” (more…)
