I’m not sure where to start, but I guess I have to write something about this. EA’s action game Mercenaries 2 is about to have two new downloadable characters. However their selection is quite odd and for a couple of reasons.
The game will feature presidential hopeful Barack Obama and the Republican vice president candidate Sarah Palin. That alone — is very strange, but in a weird way I understand the Obama selection, but why Palin? Last time I checked, Obama’s opponent isn’t her, but John McCain. I guess EA thinks Palin is more marketable.
Or maybe EA thinks Obama has this upcoming election in the bag and they’re predicting that in 2012, the two candidates for president will be Palin vs Obama. Who knows, but watching this video above makes me proud to be a American.

Few days ago, sites reported that the Mercenaries 2 demo was up and running on Xbox Live. Although we ended up checking to confirm that it wasn’t, many other sites didn’t — which made angry gamers everywhere. Today we confirm that the demo is officially up and it’s the whole game…Okay not really, it is the ‘full’ game but with a 20 minute time limit. Once 20 minutes passes, your demo is over.
The PS3 demo should be up this Thursday on PSN.
Check it out, the game is pretty fun.

Even though EA’s action title Mercenaries 2 is already ready out on store shelves, that hasn’t stopped them from releasing a demo on Xbox Live and PSN. The Live DL should be available soon and when we say soon, we mean like any minute now. Kotaku is reporting that it should be up now, but as of 9:00 pm it has yet to popup in the demo section.
Unfortunately Sony requires Thursdays to be the days for new content to be available on PSN, which means PS3 owners are going to have wait until next week. Either way, the game is definitely worth download as it’s getting a respectable score of 75% on gamerankings.com for both systems.
And just for ’sh*its and giggles,’ we’ve decided to throw the full song for ‘Oh No You Didn’t’ up top. Yeah, the song is that awesome…

If you’re like me and saw EA’s commercial for Mercenaries 2 than you also loved the song “Oh No You Didn’t.” The first time I heard the catchy tune it was stuck in my head for two whole days. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who had affection for the song because EA has now released a ‘making’ of the commercial with the FULL song included. Watch the video above and listen to a longer and BETTER version of “Oh You Didn’t.” And if you love the song so much that you want to own it, click here to downloaded it.
