Video: Kid Dresses Up as Mega Man, Hearts Melt Around the World

See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.

The video up top is probably the cutest kid I’ve ever seen with videogame related martial. His father decided to dress him up as Mega Man and made him say “pew, pew, pew” a few times, which should win the dad some kind award, right?

I know most of us are thinking if we ever have kids, we would totally do something similar. Although, some of you might have a hard time doing something like this parent.

One, you need have good genes to even have a kid with this kind of cuteness. Two, you actually needs to have sex in order to reproduce, which should eliminate many of the hardcore gaming community. Of course, adapting is always an option.

I kid, I Kid.

Puma Releases Mega Man Inspired Shoe Design

Has anyone else notice the new trend in video game fashion are shoes? Last year, we saw Nike release a few kicks, my favorite being the ‘Nintendo Edition‘ of their ‘Nike Air Classic’ line. Now, Puma is dipping their designs in the shoe video game market. Up top is a style called Lo Mega. It might be hard to tell exactly what game is influencing the foot-gear by the picture, but according to Puma’s description, it is Mega Man:

“A fantastic material and color update inspired by Mega Man, a video game first released by Capcom in 1987. Whether you’re familiar with the character or not, this synthetic leather material looks and feels like vinyl, giving the upper a shiny, retro-futuristic look. The addition of the perforated underlays, painted eyelets, & video game inspired pixelated emboss on the toe bumper complete this awesome look.”

One word can simply explain how these sneakers look: “Hot!” The shoe’s are sold in both men and women sizes and have a $65 price tag.

Short Film: Mega Man vs. Hard Hat

Rofang on youtube created an entertaining short film staring Mega Man. Right away, you’ll noticed he used sprites similar to the original Mega Man that was available for the NES back in the 80s.

The story revolves around the Blue Bomber chilling on top of a building — when all of a sudden something shoots at his head. He than proceeds to turn around and sees one of his enemies Hard Hat hiding…in his hard hat. Mega Man than proceeds to find almost every weapon in his arsenal to destroy his opponent. But does it work?

The weapons and utility items are from Mega Man 1-6, Mega Man I-V (Game Boy), Mega Man 7-8, Mega Man & Bass, Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man 9.

LittleBigPlanet + Mega Man= Awesome

We love Mega Man and we also love LittleBigPlanet. FusionZX had the ingenious idea of combining them both and created a Mega Man level using the LBP level editor. I know we’ve seen quite a few remakes using the editor, but this one tops them all.

While watching the video, it totally brought back memories of Mega Man — from the disappearing boxes to the backgrounds…he even has an AWESOME boss battle. Heck, the guy even put a Mega Man mask on his SackBoy (why does that sound so wrong). We give him a lot of props for this one.

Even though the video was recorded off-screen, you’ll still understand why we thought it was good enough to post.

Mega Man Sketched From Menstrual Fluid (YUCK)

I’m not sure why I’m posting this, but I have too. The artist ‘eluted‘ from deviantART drew a decent sketch of Mega Man. Now, at first glance you might think the drawing is alright, but certainly not worth posting on the site. However, what you don’t know about the sketch is what could be the most disturbing thing in video game art.

The person behind the sketch decided to use — ready for this, menstrual fluid. You know, the blood from a girl…from the place that bleeds every month.

Yeah, Mega Man is ruined for me…forever!

Capcom Confirms DLC for Mega Man 9

If you’re reading this story than chances are you already own or plan on purchasing Mega Man 9. Today is the the big day for Capcom’s 8-bit shooter (on Wii) and they also released some information about DLC for the game.

On October 6, 2008 Capcom promises to release Proto Man (above) for 200 Wii Points ($2), who also made an appearance in Mega Man 3 for the NES. You might not recognize his name but there is a reason for that, his original name in the NES game was actually Break Man. By downloading Proto Man the gameplay will change, the player can then deflect bullets, slide, and charge his shots.

The DLC will be available for Wiiware, XBLA, and PSN.

The Original Mega Man to be Released on Wii’s VC this Monday, Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 9 this September

Get ready for tomorrow, because the 1987 NES classic-Mega Man, will be making a appearance on the Wii’s Virtual Console. Then in this September, we get to play the first “real” sequel to Mega Man since 1997-Mega Man 8. This all came Capcom’s official blogs.

“To prepare all you Mega Man fans for the release of Mega Man 9 in September, we’re going to offer you the opportunity to play the game that started it all. The original Mega Man game returns on the Virtual Console this Monday, August 4, 2008. Yes, that’s right.”

It also went on to mention that Mega Man 2 will also be re-released in early September. So starting on Monday, I plan on retooling my retro skills, and play one of the most frustrating 8-bit games ever to be released.
