Just in time for Halloween, Microsoft has officially licensed this Halo helmet. As you can see from the picture above, the Master Chief mask has fantastic detail and even includes ‘dents & scratches‘ to make it seem like it went through a battle with the Covenant. Also, either side of the helmet offers LED search lights that can be turned on and off. So if you loose your keys and it’s dark — you’re all set.

Unlike the ‘free’ helmet that came with the super-duper ‘limited edition’ version of Halo 3, this one you can wear. It’ll also fit most adults and be comfortable at the same time because it is padded all around in the inside.
Of course awesomeness doesn’t come cheap, the Master Chief mask costs $115, but when you think about it, that’s a small price to pay to excrete greatness. Woman will be all over you staying away from you. But hey — who needs them when you look like Master Chief? Not me, that’s for sure!
After the jump check out more pictures.

While having an interview with Eurogamer, Bungie’s Brian Jarrard confirmed you are not required to own Halo 3 to play ‘Halo Recon‘. During the same interview he stressed the game will not be a download and will be sold in a Box. Although, the one thing that does concern us was when he was asked how long the campaign would be, when compared to Halo 3:
“It’s hard to put a number on it. It’s going to represent hours of new campaign gameplay, but it’s not a full, entire game like Halo 3. I think we have a lot of value on the disc.”
If anyone played through Halo 3, than you would know the game was short. In fact, I beat the single-player all the way through on normal the first time and it took me a little under 8 hours to do so. While doing quick research, most people looked like they beat the game in the same amount of time. I’ve even heard some people finishing it in 6 hours.
I want to stress that I love Halo franchise, and I even loved Halo 3. But the biggest complaint I had with the game was how damn short it was. I bet if you asked people what they hated about the game — most would agree with me. And while I completely understand ‘Recon‘ isn’t the forth installment in the series — but more of a side story, I just wish it would be longer…or at least as long as Halo 3.
I just hope Bungie and Microsoft doesn’t rip us off and make it a $60 game. Hell, It better not be more than $30!
