I don’t care what hardcore gamers say, I love the iPhone. I truly believe the potential of the device is enormous. Even though we’ve only seen a handful of good games, that doesn’t mean the phone can’t produce classics. Heck, we’ve even seen a few of them — Rolando not only is awesome for the phone, but just an awesome game in general.
Kloonigames in partner with Hudson, is set to bring another classic to Apple’s phone. Crayon Physics Deluxe looks to completely take advantage of the touchscreen feature as well as the power of the phone. The point of the game is a lot like a previous game already released in the App Store. We’re talking about Trace; the point of that game was to draw a bridge over a series of landscapes and get the character walk across it safely. It was fun stuff, but not very deep.
Crayon Physics Deluxe takes the same concept of drawing something and having it interact with the world. But instead of just a guy walking from one end to the other, they made it far more in-depth. The game utilizes a physics engine; when you draw something, it will act according to the physics of that world. For instance, if you draw a giant circle, the game will recognize it as ‘heavy,’ then if you drop it, it can move things that are lighter than it. The puzzle title also looks to be a crap load deeper than that. Don’t believe me, check out the trailer up top.
Offworld is reporting that Crayon Physics Deluxe will be available in the App Store in a “matter of weeks.” We’ll let you know when it shows up.

20th Century Fox is gearing up to release both geek movies Dragon Ball Z and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Last month we posted a trailer for Dragon Ball Z, which ended up being underwhelming. Now, we have the Japanese trailer for Street Fighter, however we have the same reaction.
The movie stars Kristin Kreuk, who plays the famous fighter Chun-Li and tells the story of her life, as well follows her ‘journey for justice.’ The film also stars Neal McDonough (Walking Tall), Chris Klein (American Pie), Michael Clark Ducan (The Green Mile) and is directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak (Doom).
Check out the video up top. And hey, at least it looks better than the Street Fighter movie staring Jean-Claude Van Damme — right!?

Some people have way to much time on their hands. Ikillbutterflies has successfully proven this theory. He and someone else he knew dressed up two Voldos from Soul Calibur as Michael Jackson, then choreographed them both to do a dance together. The song of choice is ‘Smooth Criminal’ from Jackson.
Again, this had to take way to much time, but I’m happy. Because their time wasted, turns into my pleasure.

Because of the holidays, news is scarce. Apparently, people want to spend time with their family and loved ones. They think that’s more important than leaking info about new a game, which we think is ridiculous, but hey — we can’t decided for them.
Anyway, this means we need to find weird and entertaining things for you guys — so you can pass the time. We came across this video earlier today and we’re hoping you’ll enjoy it. A father has a series of cards of our favorite video game characters. He takes each one and places them on his child’s high-chair. The baby then proceeds to name off each video game star. Obviously, knowing Sonic and a Goomba is far more meaningful than learning how to read — and much cuter!
Thanks Thomas

A few days ago we posted a video with a bunch of kids going crazy after opening a Wii for Christmas. Every single one of them were filmed either last year or in 2006. Which means there’s going to be a bunch more appearing on youtube very soon — yay!
Apparently, kids across America are still anxious to get their hands on Nintendo’s console. A clip which was found by Kotaku proves this 3 year old trend of children asking for the Wii for the Holidays — then acting like a nut when they receive it.
However, we’re a little nervous about this particular kid owning a video game console. We wonder; is Jack Thompson right? I could defiantly see this child killing a few people after playing a violent game. Just watch his reaction — he’s the spawn of Satan.
Okay, we’re kidding.

Somehow the Wind Waker score from the Gamecube’s Zelda is forgotten. I found the game to be easily one of the better games of the franchise and the music was outstanding. I guess maybe it was forgotten because of how many people actually owned a Gamecube; not many people had the chance to play the masterpiece.
Anyway, Freddie25 decided to remake the theme to Wind Waker ‘unplugged.’ The kicker — he played every instrument and edited it all together. Make sure you watch the whole video, it gets really good around the 1:45 mark.

If you at the age where you have some kind of job and can afford a video game system, than you understand that Christmas has somewhat lost its excitement. Sure, its great to have a day off from work and spending time with the family, but the whole enjoyment of receiving a gift has lost its value along the way. There was something about getting tons of toys/gadgets in one day. But now, if I want it — I’ll just get it. There isn’t a need to wait.
Thinking back to the earlier years, getting a video game system on Christmas morning probably was the best days of the holiday season for me personally. So seeing the kids open their Wii on Christmas in the video above certainly brings joy and the memories I had when I was a kid getting a system like the Sega CD. Yeah, I got one of those on Christmas…

Don’t believe rhythm games are some of the biggest phenomenon’s in video game history? If you don’t, you’re probably an idiot, but we’ll try to give you one more piece of evidence to prove otherwise.
Danny is the same kid who put up a video the other day of him getting 100% on expert while playing the Devil Went Down to Georgia. A few months ago, he also participated in a Guitar Hero contest at Gamestop. Of course he ended up winning and won the chance to play in front of 20,000 people at a Dallas Mavericks games. This is a video of his experience playing at the arena.
For a little kid, he’s pretty full of himself. Remember Danny, it’s still just a game and the cheerleaders around you while you played — don’t care.

With Christmas tomorrow, millions of people will be opening the Wii for the very first time. If you’re one of those lucky kids who will have the pleasure turning on the Wii; this video represents what NOT to do with it on Christmas morning. To make the world a better place — please, wear the strap attached to the controller. If you don’t, at least video tape it and send your stupidness to us at slashgamer@gmail.com
When you watch the video, what the hell was the last kid trying to accomplish?

Criterion Games have put together a video featuring the P12 car that will be soon available for download for free in Burnout Paradise. In case you missed our post about the free DLC we mentioned last month, the car is essentially the Delorean time machine from the film ‘Back to the Future.’
Like we thought, the car does in fact hover, but it also does something else. When the car goes into turbo mode, two flames come out from both of the rear tires. Just like what the Delorean does when it goes back/forward in time in the famous movie. Check out the video above, it even mentions how it is fueled by something atomic (Plutonium).

Xybapodcast has put together a quick short featuring Santa Claus, a little girl and a Lancer rifle from Gears of War. I think the moral of the video above sends a clear message that video games and violence go hand and hand…
At the same time, it got me thinking; why the f*ck does Santa eat our cookies. Honestly, for all he knows, we just forgot to put them away the night before. Like seriously — I know we get crap loads of presents from the fat slob, but we kinda have to be good all year. Does he even know how hard that is to do!?
You know what, he deserves what he got in the video!

Rofang on youtube created an entertaining short film staring Mega Man. Right away, you’ll noticed he used sprites similar to the original Mega Man that was available for the NES back in the 80s.
The story revolves around the Blue Bomber chilling on top of a building — when all of a sudden something shoots at his head. He than proceeds to turn around and sees one of his enemies Hard Hat hiding…in his hard hat. Mega Man than proceeds to find almost every weapon in his arsenal to destroy his opponent. But does it work?
The weapons and utility items are from Mega Man 1-6, Mega Man I-V (Game Boy), Mega Man 7-8, Mega Man & Bass, Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man 9.

This…this video could be one of the most disturbing videos I’ve seen about video games a long time. Do you know the annoying little dog that appears in “Duck Hunt?” You know, the dog that holds up the ducks by the throat when you kill them? Also the same one that laughs at you when you miss both birds.
Apparently he enjoys mocking more than rewarding. Well at least according to the video up top anyway. Imagine that you don’t just miss your target while hunting, but your car doesn’t start, you get fired from your job and you suck at giving oral sex to your girlfriend — and when you screw up…the dog laughs at you with his high pitch sound.
That is exactly what this video is about. I would like to say it’s safe to watch at work — but no, no it isn’t.

Technology and boobs, the two best things to combine for any straight geek male. Someone decided to create an app for the iPhone which is a boob shaking simulator. Just like in real life, all you need to do is shake the iPhone and the boobs move — it’s perfect.
Now, I know this isn’t really a game, but because I can pretend…right?
Oh, even though there isn’t nudity involved in the video — I would say boobies shaking is NSFW.

Who said you can’t make Metal Gear adorable. Okay, nobody even made that comment, but Media Molecule certainly has done it. A few days ago we posted about how there could possibly be a paintball gun added as DLC with the Metal Gear Solid add-on.
Somehow, in the trailer above — the company successfully recreated the look/feel of Snake’s adventure game into the LittleBigPlanet universe. In addition to allowing players make their own Metal Gear game using the LittleBigPlanet engine, they have in fact added the paintball gun.
The trailer above confirms it and also makes me say for the very FIRST time; Snake is cute! :-p
