Global Launch for Alan Wake This May?

alanwakesite

Remedy’s Alan Wake has been in development for more then five years and while a casual gamer might not have heard about the Xbox 360 title, it might be one of the most anticipated game for a hardcore player. The Xbox 360 exclusive thriller, has already been confirmed by Microsoft that we’ll see it in stores sometime in the spring of 2010. That is the only launch window we’ve had for a while now.

According to MCV, “a source close to the game” has told the website that Alan Wake is set to ship globally at the end of May of 2010. Could this finally be true? Possibly, considering Remedy Entertainment (Max Payne) has gone on record to say they’re already underway putting the final touches of the game.

Remedy has been teasing their fanbase about Alan Wake for sometime now; however, up until this past E3 not much was shown. In fact, many gamers thought the studio was going to showoff the title during E3 2008. Sadly, we had to wait the following year during the same convention in Los Angeles, to actually see gameplay. The company also had a public demonstration at the Tokyo Game Show a few months back. So it does seem like Microsoft and Remedy could feasibly release the long awaited game this coming May. Hopefully an official word is forthcoming.
