Germany to Censor Modern Warfare 2

Modern Warfare 2 will easily be the most controversial game of the year. Some countries are already underway to censor the first-person shooter. There is one particular scene in the game that is raising eyebrows around the world, and that would be the infamous airport level, where players play as the terrorist and shoot to kill innocent bystanders.
Germany is known to be a not-so-friendly country towards mature rated titles. So them dipping their paws in the anticipated game to deliberately keep their citizens away from pixelated violence, isn’t surprising. The German version will still include the controversial level, but if players decide to pull the trigger on the controller and kill a civilian, a type of gamer over screen will appear and the person will be forced to ‘retry’ the level.
While I have my own opinion on the actual scene in the videogame, I feel any government that needs to censor or ban anything that is perceived as art or entertainment, is much more dangerous than the actual product they find offensive.
