Black Wiimote and Motion Plus Announced, Plus 2 New DSi Colors
So, not too long ago Japan got a really cool black Wii system. While I was envious of the ‘land of the rising sun’ receiving a new ‘color’ to choose from, I was pretty sure us Americans would actually get one, eventually. Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed at the Gamestop manager’s meeting, which is apparently the new E3, a black Wiimote and WiiMotion Plus.
While this isn’t exactly a black Wii console, I suspect Nintendo releasing some black accessories could only mean a black system is on the horizon. Of course, it might not mean anything, but why would anyone buy a black Wiimote to work with their white console? That just seems a tad odd. According to Nintendo, we should see these black options sometime this holiday season.
We should also note that the company announced that two new colors for the DSi is on the way. During Reggie’s same keynote, he revealed that a white and pink version of the popular handheld is going to be in stores. These two colors should be available starting on September 13th.
