Spinal Tap Songs Coming to Rock Band
The legendary fictional heavy metal band Spinal Tap, first appeared on the pilot of ABC’s sketch comedy show called “The T.V. Show.” Afterwords the group starred in the 1984 “mock rockumentary” called “This Is Spinal Tap,” which was directed by Rob Reiner (Stand By Me). The movie is consider a classic by countless fans and critics everywhere.
Just recently, the parody group announced they were going to go on a one day “World Tour” and preformed at London’s Wembley Arena. Since that time they played some songs on various TV shows, including Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
To keep the band hype going, Harmonix and MTV have inked out a deal with Spinal Tap to bring eleven songs to the Rock Band series and they will be available for download on August 4th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Each track will sell for $1.99 (160 Microosft Points) or $18 for the whole pack (160 MS Points).
