Pearl Jam’s Next Entire Album to be Released in Rock Band

On September 20th, Pearl Jam is releasing their ninth studio album titled Backspacer. According to reports, the album sounds like a mixture of New Wave and Pop.
Today, Billboard has reported that the entire new album will be available for Rock Band the day its released into stores. This won’t be the first time Pearl Jam has worked with MTV and Harmonix. Not long ago, the group released what could be their greatest album yet, Ten, into the Rock Band universe.
It’s also being said that Target will have a special edition CD, which will allow gamers access to the songs for Rock Band. As of now, it sounds like the deal will only be available to Xbox Live and PlayStation Network members. I really wish more bands would do offers like this for their album in the future. It makes perfect sense for the record company and the developers. Basically, it’s a win-win situation for both companies, I just don’t see bands/labels don’t approach either Guitar Hero or Rock Band when a big named band releases a new album.
