Tony Hawk: Ride 2 Already be Planned?
We are almost three full months until Tony Hawk Ride is shipped to stores. Even with the amount of time, that hasn’t stopped Robomodo, the makers of the game, thinking up ideas for the sequel.
IndustryGamers had an interview with the president of Robomodo Josh Tsui. He was asked at one point about what projects other than Ride are they working on. “Obviously, we’re very focused on getting this done, but being the creative types that we are, we’re always writing up new game proposals and things we want to do,” said Tsui. “It’s just a matter of timing. With Tony Hawk: Ride finishing up [we have to think about] the sequel to the game and where that fits into our schedules. It’s a lot of juggling at this point.”
For the last 10 or so years, Tony Hawk has been one of the flagship titles for Activision. The franchise has gone on and sell millions, however this is the first time they will incorporate a motion sensing skateboard. This will also be the first time Activision has let anyone developed a Tony Hawk for the consoles outside of Neversoft, who has now went on to create the sequels for Guitar Hero. In fact, this is the first game developed by Robomodo . So for them thinking about a ‘Tony Hawk: Ride 2‘ already, is pretty ballsy on their part or at the very, least mention it to the press.
If you are wondering how the game end up, we tried it. Just look at our Twitter to find out what we thought. Of course it was during E3, so technically it was an ‘unfinished.’
