Two Gameplay Videos of Bethesda’s Wet

Bethesda Softworks released two videos for their upcoming game Wet for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If you haven’t heard of the game yet, the action title is center around a female named Rubi, who is voiced by super hot actress Eliza Dushku. Rubi has the ability to use her acrobatic skills along with her sword and guns, while she battles it out with numerous on-screen enemies at once. Wet also ads elements of bullet-time, which is a snazzy way of saying the player can slowdown time. Because of all this, the game reminds me that God of War met the Matrix and had an ugly child.

Artificial Mind and Movement is the team behind Wet and honestly, they have yet to make a title worth owning, in my opinion of course. For the most part, the studio is known more for developing licensed videogames , than creating original ones of their own. If they have worked on an fresh title, it was nothing more than a port. This is not necessarily good news for people who are looking forward to the game, which probably stems from the fact Bethesda is the publisher.

If you watch the videos, which we embedded up top and after the jump, one thing stands out; the camera angle look horrible. If I had to choose one thing that could make or break any videogame , the camera angle is number one on my list. So if Artificial Mind doesn’t get this right, it could destroy whatever potential Wet has to offer.

Wet was one of the many cuts Activision Blizzard made last year. If you remember correctly, the company also deemed that Brutal Legend and Ghostbusters would not be financially right for the publisher to continue to support. I think Activision could have made a mistake with those two titles, but from what I just saw from Wet, this might have been the right move.
