Dan Aykroyd Calls Gamestop Customers to Pick Up Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Since it was first announced as a videogame, Dan Aykroyd has been promoting the hell out of the Ghostbusters game. One of the main reasons is because he has a pretty penny involved with the title and even lent his voice to reprise his role as Dr. Raymond Stantz. Not only that, he worked with follow colleague Harold Ramis, to write the scrip for the game. Both men also wrote the original movie and Ramis starred in the classic film as well.
Now, Aykroyd is taking this obsession of promoting the game one step further. If you reserved Ghostbusters: The Video Game at your local Gamestop, you might have already received the phone call reminding you to pick up the title and to trade-in your old games. When Gamestop calls, it’s nothing more than a automated message with a women speaking. However this time, if you pick up the phone Dan Aykroyd will be giving you all the information you need — of course it is still just automated. What did you really think Aykroyd was going to call you?
Yeah, I have haven’t seen him in much either, so I was hoping it was really him too.
