Lead singer of Green Day Billy Joe, pretty much confirmed that they will be having their own Rock Band game in the future. The news sounds great to me, I mean who wouldn’t want to play through the groups history? Their music seems well…perfect for a game like Rock Band.

MTV caught up with Harmonix’s spokesman John Drake, and asked him straight up if the studio is indeed working on a solo Rock Band game, which would include Green Day exclusively.

“…Green Day’s really, really great! Wouldn’t you love to see Green Day in ‘Rock Band’? I would also love to see Green Day in ‘Rock Band’! Hopefully we’ll have some official news soon!”

Of course he didn’t reveal anything, but his wording makes it sound like it is defiantly in the works, but they’re only going to announce it on their terms. My guess is that they don’t want to confirm anything at this very moment because the studio and publisher do not want to overshadow their upcoming Beatles game. They are basically doing the complete opposite of what Activision has done with their Guitar Hero series.
