400-Page BioShock Book Coming This Fall
Hands down, I think one of the best storytelling narratives in any video game, has to be BioShock. It was one of the few games I felt that didn’t force feed me information and characters, which made it seem much less corny than other gaming stories out there. To be honest, I’m not sure if any game has even gotten close to the atmosphere which BioShock delivered so well.
Take-Two has decided the story is indeed good and they have inked a deal with the book publisher Tor, to bring a 400-page hardcover (and soft) book. The listing even mentions that the creator of BioShock Ken Levine, is the author. Sadly, I highly doubt this is the case, and Levine is nothing more than the placeholder of the novel. Although, you never know… but I don’t think we’re going to get that lucky.
The future bestseller* is expected to be released sometime in the fall and probably will coincide with the sequel to the game, BioShock 2.
If you wonder what Tor has brought to the table, they are responsible for several sci-fi books, including the Halo series.
*To be determined.
