The first installment of ‘The Bigs‘ was released in 2007. It was an arcade baseball title, where steroids were appreciated, and proved that chicks still dug the long ball. It was about tape measure homeruns, amazing catches and causing as much havoc on the field and off. Come to think of it, it felt like baseball in the late 90s.

After a two year absent, 2K is once again trying to resurrect the game, with releasing ‘The Bigs 2.’ They have published a new trailer, which I embedded above and it shows off some of the mini-games that will be included with the game. Most noticeably is a look into ‘Home Run Pinball.’ Basically you’ll select a player and he will stand in the middle of a famous street; something like the Vegas strip, with a bat in hand and a ball. Obviously, the player hits the ball and tries to cause as much destruction as possible.

While watching the clip, you also see some other mini-games that will be featured and I’m not really sure what the point is. For instance, why the f*ck are there zip lines? Is this American Gladiators or baseball?
