Disney Publishing Two 3-D Games (3-D Glasses)

Disney has announced that they will be releasing two games this year that will feature 3D. We’re not just talking about 3D graphics, but actual 3D, like you put on 3D glasses.

G-Force is a computer animated film being disturbed by Disney, and will come out later this year. Like every big Disney movie, G-Force will have its own video game adaption. The developers behind the game are promising it’ll take advantage of off-axis 3D, which just means gamers are supposed to wear the crappy red & blue glasses. So if you are expecting to see images pop-out of the screen like the recent 3D films, you could be in for a disappointment. Although, it doesn’t look horrible, it certainly is not nearly as good as movies like Monsters vs. Aliens or Bolt.

If you have an old pair of 3D glasses lying around the house, check out the trailer above.

The next video game which will take advantage of the third dimension is Toy Story Mania for the Nintendo Wii. TSW is a basic game that focuses around mini-games and stars Woody, Buzz Lightyear and friends. Players will compete in a single player mode, or play with friends to complete specific goals. All doing this while swinging a Wiimote in the air — Joy! The 3D will be exactly like G-Force, so be prepared to get a headache while using the old-school 3D glasses.

We should also note, both games will have the ability to shutoff the 3D effects on the fly.
