Here is the trailer for the other wild-west game Red Dead Redemption. Developed by Rockstar San Diego (Midnight Club: Los Angeles), Redemption is the predecessor of Red Dead Revolver, which was released in 2004.

Like Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Red Dead will be an open world western. However, the game will take place sometime in the first part of the 20th century, rather than the Civil War.

The games protagonist is John Martson, who was a former outlaw, but now traveling through the old-west to bring justice to the unjust. Rockstar promises the environment to explore will include towns, farms and paths through valleys and mountains.

I know it’s not far, but pretty much everyone will compare Red Dead Redemption and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, when they are both in stores. So…so far, I’m more impressed with Rockstar’s take on the old-west. But we will just have to wait and see which will be the best in the west.

Red Dead Redemption will be out in the fall of 2009, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
