First Trailer for Rabbids Go Home

When the Wii launched in 2006, my second favorite game behind Zelda: Twilight Princess was Raving Rabbids. I spent countless hours, along with Peter over at /film playing the additive mini-games. Sure, it featured some repetitive gameplay, but when the system launched — I thought the title took advantage of the Wiimote the best. Not only that, I thought the Rabbids could have been some of the funniest characters in recent video game history. Since that time a few sequels were released, however, it didn’t add much and they still relied on the mini-game theory.

I enjoyed the personalities so much, I was hoping Ubisoft would get their act together and produced some kind of adventure game which included the crazy bunnies. Last month, my wish had finally come true because the publisher announced Rabbids Go Home for the Wii.

Today, the company has unveiled the first trailer for Rabbids Go Home and although it doesn’t show any gameplay, it is sure to make you laugh. I especially like how the trailer pokes fun at the Wii by showing different accessories for a video game system, like the ‘Weeeee Helmet‘ and the ‘Weeeee Boots.’ Proving that Ubisoft plans on keeping the ridiculously stupid humor I’ve come to love about the Rabbids and I can’t wait to see them once again.
