High Voltage: Two Games For Wii at E3, One to Support 65 Enemies On-Screen

We already know that High Voltage’s The Conduit, is probably one of the best looking games that will come out for the Wii, that’s a given. However, what we didn’t know is that the studio is planning on announcing two new games for Nintendo’s console, at E3. Eric Nofsinger, confirmed the news while having an interview with Nintendo-Master.com.

We have two big ones that we’ll be announcing at E3, we can’t tell you [what they are] yet,” He said. Nofsinger went on to talk about how the company has been working on the Conduit engine, and improved many aspects with the already impressive engine. “Our goal with ‘The Conduit’ was to make a game that was the most graphically impressive for the Wii,” Said Nofsinger. “Our goal with these [two] upcoming games is to do things that are very very rare, even on the 360 or PS3.” And added, “Some of things we are doing with the shear number of enemies on the screen and things like that, are very impressive.” Nofsinger then went on and elaborated what he meant, and if it is true, it is indeed impressive. “We’ve got a demo we’ll be showing there [E3]. The average number of enemies on the screen at any given time is 65 and then it goes up.”

65? On the Wii!? And it can be more!? If this ends up being true, which I believe it will be, that is just incredible. If The Conduit ends up getting great reviews and what they show at E3 ends up happening, Nintendo might want to seriously consider looking at them as a viable asset and do everything they can to make sure they will continue to develop solely on the Wii.
