2K has lifted the embargo date for BioShock 2’s screenshots, meaning the public can now view them. As you can tell, the newly formed 2K Marin has done an unbelievable job of recreating the dark and gritty atmosphere, which the original game did so well. In may respects, the new team could have surpassed 2K Boston — visually.

Although, the big question is if 2K Marin can excel in the gameplay department, which is something BioShock ‘1′ did so well. The first installment not only was a fantastic first-person shooter, but one of the best games to come out this generation. So, seeing 2K Marin pass the original in that aspect, is well… a totally different story and we’ll just have to wait and see. But so far, it looks like they are headed in the right direction.
