Capcom Hints at a Code Veronica Remake Announcement on Friday
We broke the news last week, that Capcom had interest remaking some of their classic games on these next-generation consoles. To be a little more specific, it sounded like the publisher was already in the works remaking one of their Resident Evil games.
The rumors started to run around the internet as to which installment it would be, but it looks like we might get an answer very soon — this Thursday to be exact. We get the news from a interview with Capcom’s product manager Matt Dahlgren:
“Nothing is planned for the game regarding a remake on PSN/XBLA, but what I can say is if you are a fan of Code Veronica you should pay attention in the next couple of weeks there is some news you should be very pleased with. Tell him to pay attention on the 12th (March).”
On March 12 (same day), Capom is hosting the official Resident Evil 5 launch party at a Gamestop in San Francisco from 8PM – 12AM. Could Capcom be hinting that they plan on announcing a remake for Resident Evil: Code Veronica at the event? Sounds likely, but either way March 12th looks like publisher is announcing a Code Veronica for one of the three next-gen systems, if not all.
We’ll know for sure on that day, so keep your eyes peeled to /gamer for the latest info.
