Resident Evil 2 Remake Coming!?
During a Q&A segment at the Resident Evil 5 Wondercon panel, Capcom was asked by an enthusiastic fan about a possible Resident Evil 2 remake. Mike Webster of Capcom decided to responded to the answer. He said, “Stay tuned, we absolutely understands that these are classic games,” and added, “Some announcements, that you will be very interested in [are on the way].”
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean we are seeing Resident Evil 2 coming to a next-gen console near you — but he is definitely implying that some of their classic games are on the way. Which one? Who knows. But, to us, we might be seeing the publisher unveil an unannounced Resident Evil remake and soon! We also wonder which system Capcom chooses!

I realy hope they do a remake of RE2! When they released remake of the first Resident Evil for GameCube it wos fantasic (still my favourite) I would like to se rebirth of a RE 2 in a full HD glory, beeing 360 or PS3, well why not both.

Jun whatshisname has said many-a-time that he wants to remake 2. He’s also said many-a-time that he wants to do more stuff for the wii, so I’m gonna put my money on this being another Wiimake. But jesus, could you IMAGINE how good those 2D backgrounds would look on the 360 or PS3? Or they could remake it with the RE4/5 control scheme, but that’d probably require way too much tinkering with everything else in the game that it’s better to just do a straight-up pretty version of 2.

I can see the first 2nd and 3rd resident evils being remade on the playstation store, seeming their in japan(besides 3). But unfortunately I can’t see them going on the XBL marketplace, sorry xbox 360 only owners,I bought both because of this reason.

Oh yes, imagine being able to play them on the go on your psp in all their former glory! That would make SO MANY people happy and to give it to every next gen console/portable would shut the mouths of all the fanboys and everyone would be happy! Happy days.

Hopefully not for the Wii, I would love to see Resident Evil 2 Remake done for the PS3/360 with the same formula from the Resident Evil 1 Remake!

Sweet! Hope they remake it for the PS3/360 with 1080P resolation.. But still… I would like to see Re3 in Re4/5 gunview as well. I would like to see Jill being chased by nemesis that way. But first of all I want to play RE2!! With the classical gameplay!!
