God of War III, MAG and Heavy Rain Are NOT All Coming Out in 2009

We have some bad news for PlayStation 3 owners. A few days we ago, we reported a press release that Sony sent out confirming God of War III, MAG, Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 were coming out by the end of this year, however, Sony looks to have made a mistake. The company released some more news about the future of these titles and corrected the press release that was sent out earlier. It seems like the document should have read “first quarter” instead of 2009. What does this mean? Well for one, some of the games won’t be out until sometime in 2009 — March to be exact.

Unfortunately, Sony did not go into detail of which games they plan to come out in 2010, but we’re guessing God of War III is definitely one of them and either MAG or Heavy Rain…maybe even both. Although it is disappointing news for all PS3 owners, they will just need to understand that these blockbuster games eventually will come out; they’ll just have to wait a little longer.

Either way, it’s still going to be a strong year for Sony.

  1. I am a Gamestop Employee and in our computer system it says GOW3 is dated for march 2010 and no date for heavy rain or uncharted so i feel they might also be.

  2. I’m unsure how Sony is still going to have a “strong year”.

You just destroyed your backing for that statement then re-declared it. I’m confused. Someone hold me.

  3. 2010 for GOW3? Thats some pretty weak sh!te. They started back in 07. Releasing (arguably) the most anticipated game almost 4 years after ps3’s launch……….Unacceptable. Oh, btw Where’s FF13, they promised that too. Good year for sony? They need to shape up or ship out. $400 for an overblown dvd player is quite a stretch. Show me the games!
