To say the Star Wars franchise is a money maker would be an understatement. Pretty much any product that has those two words one it, is for the most part, guaranteed to sell well. So, for a Star Wars game to be the fastest selling game in the franchise — would be an accomplishment. And that is exactly what Star Wars: The Force Unleashed did.

According to Gamasutra, The Force Unleashed has sold 5.7 million copies since it debuted back in September. Of course, we already expected that happened when the game sold about 1.7 million units in just the first five days of its release.

One of the major reasons why we think it sold so fast, wasn’t just because of the premises of the game, but because of how many systems it was released on. Star Wars: The Force would be the definition of a multiplatform game; it was available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, iPod/iPhone, mobile phones, and the N-Gage — however, it was not on the PC.
