Mirror’s Edge DLC Coming January 29
We think some of the criticism for Mirror’s Edge was tad unfair. Sure the game wasn’t perfect and the sales did not meet expectations, but the game was fun. Not only that, it was undoubtably an innovative game — something that has been missing in this entertainment for sometime now. Although, if we were to pick one issue with the title, it would be the length. It was short, like really short! And for some people, it might be hard to justify purchasing something for $60 that only gave 6-8 hours of entertainment. Again, we tried looked over the length and enjoyed it for what it is.
Last month we reported EA and DICE has plans to release downloadable content for the parkour game and included a video (top) of the gameplay. While it was nothing like the retail version of the game — it certainly looked fun. We now have official word from a press release that the DLC will be available on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network on January 29.
DICE also confirmed today that downloadable content (DLC) for the PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360(R) videogame and entertainment system and the PC will be available January 29th. This special DLC pack will challenge players to achieve the fastest times possible on nine races across seven all-new and totally redesigned Time Trial maps. The DLC pack will be available for $10 USD or 800 Microsoft points.
So if you purchased Mirror’s Edge and you were a little bummed about the length, hopefully the new content will ease the pain. If you missed what the DLC looked liked, watch the video up top.

When i read this post i went through two minds, firstly ‘ok i won’t trade ME in for the LOTR game coming out’ but then I read there going to charge us just for a level with random shapes, that blows. While the game is innovative and a great idea it is just too short to justify the full retail price

Any game that refers to itself as perfect is bound to get some harsh criticism.
