Wii Fit Kiosk in the Women’s Clothing Department at WalMart

When people argue with me because I feel Nintendo is starting to drop their hardcore fan-base, I just don’t understand how they can’t see it. Next time someone tells me I’m wrong, I’m just going to bring this up.

A reader over at Kotaku took a snapshot of the women’s clothing department in Walmart. Now, he wasn’t just taking photos of the women’s underwear and bra’s, but actually getting something news worthy for us video gamers.

Apparently, some of the stores have actually included a Wii Fit kiosk in the section and I’m pretty sure Nintendo had something to do with this. When you enter a retail store and see a kiosk or an end cap, the manufacture of the product that is being showed off is bought by that particular company. Meaning Nintendo thought the idea of a Wii in the women’s clothing area is a perfect fit.

With the combination of this and the consist ads with woman promoting their products, Nintendo is putting more of their efforts with them, than us hardcore gamers. But whose to argue with Nintendo’s marketing as of late — it’s certainly working.

  1. I think they’re underestimating how much guys like Wii Fit too. To prove it here is a video I just posted about my own Wii Fit obsession. Thought you might like.
