People in Britain are Blaming Their Wii for Being Injured

Okay, I have to laugh at this one and I know it’s somewhat wrong for me to do it. But according to the ‘United Kingdom’s Sun Magazine,’ doctors in Britain have been noticing more patients being admitted because of what they call Wii-itis. That’s right, people are starting to become injured while playing the Wii. A rheumatology consultant said:

“Most are admitted after playing the tennis and running games which involve sudden movements and violent tendon stretching.”

Some of the injuries people are complaining about are pain in the shoulders, bad wrists and knees. So many are becoming affected by the so called ‘Wii-itis,’ that hospitals are seeing 10 patients a week who are blaming their video game console on their suffering.

If this article holds up to be true, I just find it humorous. It sucks to be hurt, but honestly, I really don’t think ‘those’ people get out much and exercises. I know some of you might disagree with me, but seriously, people do far more strenuous work on their bodies and they don’t even get close to what’s happing across the ocean.
