Cool Stuff: The Greatest Painting of Mario Ever
DeviantART member Orioto has created what I think could be the greatest picture I’ve ever seen that was made from someone outside the gaming industry. The painting is a “re-imagining of what the Mario world is like. And it’s more beautiful than anything I would have thought up.
Ladies and Gentlemen; I’m calling this the Mona Lisa of video game art! I would love to own a print of this and hang it up on my wall.

@rainbow cemetery.. That is a completely stupid thing for them to do .. You have zero understanding of graphics or technology if you actually think that painting would be a step up for Mario. Crap like that could have been done on the PS2.. Why waste resources when they have a console 5 times more powerful? you may like the art direction but its not something that has to have HD to be done.YOu need to stop commenting and go get an education in graphics so the next time you comment you do not sound so dumb asking for PS2 graphics on a next gen HD console.

It’s a great painting. That said, graphics should never come before gameplay. PS3, I’m looking at you. (And your graphics don’t even come near what a PC can do.)

I hate art , to old and stuffy …. but this … this … is a F’N masterpiece , They should become a genre of art … Thank you for the enlightning
