Video: DLC for Mirror’s Edge

I don’t care what anyone says, I really enjoyed Mirror’s Edge. Sure the shooting aspect wasn’t up to par with other great FPS’s, but seriously; was that the point? The game was to give the players a sense of what it would be like to do parkour, but without leaving the couch. I have never played anything that felt like DICE’s game. It was one of the few games to almost give me vertigo when I jumped from building to building.

Although, the game was short — so short I could have finished it in one day if I wanted too. Thankfully, for the people that did complete it fairly quickly can soon download extra content and boy it looks good.

Instead of having more of the same, DICE decided to make the DLC completely different than the original game. No more will Faith jump on skyscrapers — she’ll now be in something that looks like an abstract painting. The level (video above) almost reminds me of something M.C. Escher drew.

Check out the trailer up top.

  1. This looks pretty fucking wild, actually.

  2. I think that this is awesome! By focusing on ways to navigate the environment and taking out all the combat, they took the game design to its logical conclusion imo.
