Killzone 2 is Dated for February 27, 2009 (Friday)

Sony’s next big game (if not the biggest) has finally been giving an official release date. Killzone 2 is confirmed by SCEA to be on store shelfs starting February 27, 2009 in North America. A date for other parts of the world has yet to be announced, but we assume shortly after.

When the game was shown off to the public for the first back at E3 2005, it was debated by many if it was in real-time or pre-rendered. Even though Sony repeatedly said it was in-game, overtime it was proven to be CG. However, Sony then promised when the final version is released; it would resemble the first trailer.

We can honestly say, it does. Sony and Guerrilla Games kept their promise, because this game is easily one of the best looking games to come out this generation — maybe even the best. But just like every other genre to come out, it will be judged by how good the gameplay will be.

Since we played it at E3, it defiantly had bugs, but if the team behind the FPS can somehow fix it — it has the potential to actually be a ‘Halo killer.’

  1. The game is actually looking better now than that CGshit a couple of years back. Btw, you don’t think that they would be able to fix a lot of the bugs in the period of july-frebruary?
