Just recently I was watching someone play the original Half-Life for the PC. While the gameplay is still top-notch, the graphics just couldn’t hold up to the test of time. Remember, when the game was first introduced for the PC, the year was 1998 – 10 years ago! Most games, especially 3D games generally look their age over time. And sadly Half-Life was no exception.

Thankfully, the mod team Black Mesa has just released a trailer featuring their Half-Life remake using the source engine. And boy, it blows away our expectations. Check it out up top.

Of course in another 10 years — the game will look ‘old.’
