Video: Wiimote Acts Like a Theremin

Ken More apparently loves the sound of a theremin; an electric musical instrument that the user does not touch. You’ve heard it a million times before, but you probably didn’t even know you were listening to one. It was popular during the 50’s and generally was used for scores in sci-fi movies — something that More explains in the video above.

Now, you might be wondering why we’re showing Ken More and his obsession of theremins and how it’s related to video games. It’s because he hacked a Nintendo Wiimote and used his skills to create his very own theremin. In the end, it’s a much cheaper investment than purchasing an actual theremin, which can cost a few hundred dollars.
