Sony Confirms 14 Million PSN Accounts
According to Sony’s John Koller, the PlayStation Network has topped the 14 million mark for total accounts. Coincidently, Microsoft announced last month that Xbox Live had also hit the same number. Although, because Microsoft has each subscriber pay for their service, we would say that is obviously a more profitable figure. On top of that, because the service for the PS3 is free — we wonder how many people made ‘multiple’ accounts.
Koller also reported that PS3 owners have totaled more than 273 million downloads, which could be anything like demos and DLC. The news comes on the day the PlayStation 3’s second anniversary the system launched.
