7-Elevens Breaks the Street Date for Wrath of the Lich King
7-Eleven is slowly becoming one of my favorite video game stores. Yes, the same 7-Eleven that sells Big Gulps and day-old sandwiches, are now selling some of the biggest games to date. However, we don’t like them because they have a great game selection — in fact it sucks. We just think highly of them because they don’t seem to care about the infamous ’street dates’ for games.
Last week, it was posted around the internet that Gears of War 2 was being sold in various locations of the popular convenient store, but a few days early. Today, some guys over at 1up noticed the second expansion pack ‘World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King,’ was for sale. The game is scheduled to come out on November 13, so having it a few days before the release date might get some addicts of the series extremely happy.
Watch the video above and see the journalist purchase the game. Although it looks like that particular store is now ’sold out,’ we can confirm it was one of the many stores located on Market Street in San Francisco, CA. If you live in the area — it might be worth checking out.
