Brandon Crisp Found Dead

We’ve been following the tragic story about the young Canadian teen Brandon Crisp who ran away ‘because’ his dad took away his Xbox privileges. Sadly, we must report that the body of the 15-year-old was found dead in a heavily wooded area according to the local police. Right now, the police don’t expect any foul play however, an autopsy is scheduled later today.

First and foremost, the internet has done a terrific job following the story. Caring people from the online community tried their best to hopefully have the story end on a happy note. Also, all the video game blogs such as, gamepolitics deserve every single bit of credit trying to create awareness of the horrible situation.

And lastly, even though we have our own opinion about why this occurred, we’ve decided right now, out of respect for the parents who are having a difficult time dealing with it — not to say anything.

Maybe someday we will, but right now — we just can’t.

R.I.P. Brandon Crisp

  1. He is a douche! He does not know how much pain he’s causing his parents because he was a whiny, self-centered little bastard. He got lost just a couple of kilometers away from home…what a loser. Clearly he hasn’t been outside his house. He brings shame among all gamers. Now, with the exaggerated media, everybody is gonna think that all gamers are little suicidal freaks. I have no sympathy for his soul. I do, however, share my sympathies with the parents. They were just trying to discipline the little prick. Having an XBOX is a freakin luxury especially with more than half the world living in poverty and now, it gets taken away for a while and the douche commits a suicidal attempt to run away? Where has common sense gone? Isn’t CoD a strategy-shooter? You’re not supposed to just go out and shoot the crap out..he didn’t realize that life is the same…except that there is no respawning after getting killed.

  2. I can understand how hard of a time the parents of had. But this is only gunna get worse. the parents will probably become angry with grief and blame it all on video games and then start a PAG (parents against gaming) sortof bullshit group and the media is going to eat it up.
I mean this with all due respect but this boys death has NOTHING to do with video games, it has everything to do with bad parenting. I’m from cananda and maybe you guys didnt hear but while he was still “missing” the parents AND local police actually blamed XBOX Live for him running away. The parents neglected responcibility and actually blamed XBOX Live for it. The reason he ran away is because the parents spoiled him and raised him poorly so he’d throw a hissy fit if they took his game away from him. Call Of Duty 4 is a M rated game by the way so a 15 year old shouldnt be playing it and if he does he should be mature enough for game and wont get addicted to it and then run away once its taken from him.
This kid got addicted to the game (we all did a little) playing day and night his parents were worried because it was effecting his school so its understandable why they took it away, but he shouldnt of had the game in the first place if he is 15 and has poor judgement on when to stop playing the game and continue with his life…..this is a very sad story i just know that this is going to be filtered out as some bullshit story to make video games look like the bad guy.

  3. Fellow Gamer is absolutely right. The media has run out of things to talk about so they transform everything they receive into the apocalypse of the moment. Stupid Brandon Crisp… I still can’t muster any sympathy

  4. “Maybe someday we will, but right now — we just can’t.” Wow Jon you should right for an obituary! You are such a tool.
