It seems like the possibly of a true sequel for Capcom’s Dead Rising is about to finally become a reality. According to the site eurogamer, the Canadian based company Blue Castle Games are at the moment, developing the second installment of the zombie infested game. The source said:

“Everyone’s really excited; the team has obviously seen the rumours and it’s been hard to keep quiet, but they can’t wait to show off the game.”

Sadly, the source who is nameless decided not to go into any further details, but on the team’s official website they confirmed an action title is in the works.

It’s hard to get a grasp on how the gaming studio can handle a project like Dead Rising because up to this point, they’ve only created a baseball game called; ‘The Bigs.’ However, the game was not a simulation but an arcade game, which in our opinion was decent. The sports game features over-the-top baseball action and Dead Rising needs that over-the-top feel. So, hopefully they can translate that into something like Dead Rising 2.
