Call of Duty Beta Up for Everyone on Xbox Live

If you were one of the unlucky gamers who didn’t receive an invite to Activision’s beta for Call of Duty: World at War and couldn’t sleep at night because of it — don’t worry. If you sign on Xbox Live right now and head to the marketplace, you can now download the demo beta right now. If you loved Call of Duty 4, than you should at the very least enjoy the beta because it plays almost exactly the same. Which isn’t a horrible thing, COD 4 is one of the best games to come out for this generation.

The beta consists of three levels from World War II and features weapons from that era. While we found the beta to be fun, we wonder how the hardcore COD players will feel about it using guns that take forever to load. We think many of them will be turned off because they might think the game is a step back. Although, since the beta is free, it’s at the very least worth downloading it.

Call of Duty: World at War
will be in stores on November 11, for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, DS, Wii and PS2.
