If you were expecting mindless shooting for Valve’s next first person shooter Left 4 Dead — than you’re right. But it seems they’ve also included a story that feels very much like a summer blockbuster than just a game. A video was just released of one of the opening cinematic scenes and we must say, we’re impressed!

We haven’t seen much of the story up to this point, but judging from the movie above, the game looks to include good writing, editing, music and the direction is fantastic. Heck, even the acting is decent and that’s something that is generally a flaw in the gaming world.

Our personal favorite scene in the cinematic is when all four characters are surrounded by the zombies. From that moment on — it feels like an epic action packed film and not a game. Every time we see something new about Left 4 Dead, we think it truly has the potential of easily being one of the ‘games of the year.’

Left 4 Dead will be available in stores on November 18th and remember to pre-order the game to receive early access to the online demo on November 6th.
