High Voltage to Announce New Games in the “Near Future”
With High Voltage finishing up their much hyped game ‘The Conduit,’ they’ve also spilled the beans about how the company has already begun working on other Wii titles. They’ve also promised to announce their new projects in the “near future.”
When Eric Nofsinger of High Voltage was asked if the company would ever consider creating an RPG, he gave an interesting answer:
“That really is another area that can use a shot in the arm I feel. Keep your eyes peeled because in the near future we’ll be announcing some other titles that we’ve already got underway in development. We feel that there are a number of genres that are poorly represented on the Wii for core gamers. We want to do games that are high quality. You know, that’s what we are. I think it’s a shame for what is our personal favorite system to be so underrepresented when it comes to core gamers.”
It will be exciting to see if the team can create another genre but keep the ‘high’ quality graphics that is evident for ‘The Conduit.’ In terms of gameplay, I’m not completely sold on the company just yet. Judging by their previous titles they created — I’m a tad skeptical. However, they did develop one of my favorite cult classics for the original Xbox — Hunter: the Reckoning. So, I certainly do have faith in them. But ultimately, it comes down to how ‘The Conduit‘ plays and from what we’ve seen — it has potential!
