I’m not sure where to start, but I guess I have to write something about this. EA’s action game Mercenaries 2 is about to have two new downloadable characters. However their selection is quite odd and for a couple of reasons.

The game will feature presidential hopeful Barack Obama and the Republican vice president candidate Sarah Palin. That alone — is very strange, but in a weird way I understand the Obama selection, but why Palin? Last time I checked, Obama’s opponent isn’t her, but John McCain. I guess EA thinks Palin is more marketable.

Or maybe EA thinks Obama has this upcoming election in the bag and they’re predicting that in 2012, the two candidates for president will be Palin vs Obama. Who knows, but watching this video above makes me proud to be a American.
