While talking to Joystiq, Red Octane’s Brian Bright confirmed that gaming publisher Activision’s is in fact planning on releasing a ‘DJ Hero‘ game:

“Activision’s doing a DJ Hero game, and I can’t comment on what we’re doing, we’re working on the future and next gen. If I wasn’t excited about it I wouldn’t be there.”

This shouldn’t come to a surprise because last month rumors surfaced about a possible DJ game coming form Activision. Also, since the publisher purchased the rights to Guitar Hero, they have yet to come up with a completely original concept and this could be a good start. At this point we don’t know if Neversoft will be developing the game or some other sub-division of Activision.
