Three Fatalities in MK vs DC
Midway has released a video showing off three finishers from three different fighters in Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. Before I talk about them, the first time I saw the Joker’s ‘Fatality,’ I was kind of excited what I could expect from the game. I thought the Jokers finisher had a lot of personality and maybe even one of the better moves in the Mortal Kombat series. Because of the originality of the death, I thought maybe Ed Boon would focus more on personally and humor because of the lack of blood included in the fighter.
Boy was I wrong, in the video above — you’ll be able to view the Green Lantern, Raiden and the Flash controlling the fate who they’re pitted against. On a side note — when a DC Hero finishes of his opponent off, it’s not called a ‘Fatality‘ but described as a ‘Heroic Brutality.’
The first up in the video is the Green Lantern. His sequence has to be the lamest ending to a fight in the history of Mortal Kombat…even worse than Liu Kang’s original Fatality. He uses his ‘Power Ring‘ to put his enemy in the air. He then proceeds to squish him in a circle, while dropping him hard onto the ground. Pretty crappy stuff.
The next fighter showing off his skill is Raiden. At the very least, his finisher is somewhat better. However that doesn’t mean good. When his opponent doesn’t have the ability to fight anymore — he walks over to groggy body and electrifies him/her until the carcass turns into a skeleton. It reminds me of his finishing move in Mortal Kombat 1 for the SNES….it’s completely unoriginal.
The last fighter on the video is the Flash. Take a guess what he does…yup, he uses his speed. He runs around his enemy so fast that a mini-tornado forms and lifts his opponent off the ground. Suddenly the Flash is up in air and gives a devastating punch. Again, it’s better the sh*tty Green Lantern, but of course that’s not saying a whole lot.

They aren’t that bad… at least there’s finishers in the game.

You’re being a bit harsh on these moves, dude. I wouldn’t consider them awesome you kind of sound like a whiny fanboy who takes games far too seriously.
